A bespoke approach to SQA and accredited beauty training within school

SchoolProgramme

This course is an SQA SCQF level 5 and suitable for learners from age 15 that want to progress onto a career in make up/beauty therapy. The learners will gain knowledge of influencing factors when carrying out makeup application and understanding face shapes colour characteristic, skin structure, skin types and contraindications to the application of makeup. Learners will also gain knowledge of influencing factors when carrying out eye treatments, an understanding of facial muscles and bones, hair structure, eye shapes and contraindications. They will develop skills in eyelash tinting eyebrow tinting and shaping including the use of strip and cluster lash application. Within the class there will be emphasis on team working, meeting the needs of clients, develop their employability skills such as time keeping, treatment time and customer care and personal presentation. There is also an opportunity to consider good citizenship through recycling products and consumables waste control measures and charitable events.

Course duration: approximately 64 hours over 32 weeks or less.

This course is an SQA SCQF level 5 and suitable for learners from age 15 that want a career as a nail technician/beauty therapy. The learners will study skin anneal conditions and disorders contraindications to hand and foot treatments the structure of the skin and nails anatomy and Physiology of the hand and foot including physiological effects of massage. They will develop skills and manicure and pedicure including the application of Polish light, dark, French and a gell application. Nail art treatments will be included in this creative element was techniques including stamping dotting striping foiling application of James glitter and transfers.

Within the class there will be emphasis on team working, meeting the needs of clients, develop their employability skills such as time keeping, treatment time and customer care and personal presentation. There is also an opportunity to consider good citizenship through recycling products and consumables waste control measures and charitable events.

This will give the opportunity for learners to achieve bite size skills as a taster session and allow learners the opportunity to see if the beauty industry is for them as a career. This is an ideal programme for all and tailored to deliver a variety of skills and techniques which can include eyebrow treatments nail treatments makeup here up styling holistic therapies facial and eye treatments. Within the class there will be emphasis on team working, meeting the needs of clients, develop their employability skills such as time keeping, treatment time and customer care and personal presentation. There is also an opportunity to consider good citizenship through recycling products and consumables waste control measures and charitable events.

Cost from £250 - £1900 per person.

As an accredited training provider for 4T medical and the beauty guild we offer training in line with the national occupational standards for learners to gain a qualification and certification. This is a good start and meets the requirements for insurance purposes for learners aged 16 plus. The accredited training ranges from 1/2 day to a full day which can also be spread out over several days to meet the needs of the group of learners.
