On this course you will learn all the theory prior to carrying out: eyebrow tint and shape and waxing of facial areas (lip and chin).

The course is well written and accompanied by images, video and a voice- over. Upon completion of the online theory modules, students will receive a manual which they can use to refer back to. 

The freehand art of building an acrylic nail onto a nail form.  You will learn how to create the most beautiful versatile type of acrylic nail extension.  You will learn sculpting with French and natural coloured acrylic.

Time to tidy the lady garden! Learn how to use hot wax effectively and safely to remove unwanted hair. The Brazilian, Hollywood and playboy intimate waxing techniques will be covered on this course. Disposable underwear will be provided.

Learn yoga moves for hot flushes, managing anxiety, how to treat your skin, body changes, sleep, nutrition and the deep stirring inside you.

This 4-hour course will teach you BIAB Nails (Builder in a bottle).

BIAB or Builder in a Bottle is a gel-like nail polish applied as an overlay on natural nails or short extensions. It works like a gel but it dries strong and durable, meaning your clients are less likely to chip between sessions.

Does make up give you the fear? Don’t know where to start?! Well contouring your face is the best place to start.  Join us as a complete beginner or novice!

Prerequisite: There are no pre requisites for this course, however a basic knowledge in Anatomy and Physiology is preferred. Experience within the Beauty or Massage industry is desirable.

SQA Level 2 Facial 

Part-time, flexible learning, theory from home and with a tutor, practical and theory duration varies, approximately 8 weeks.

This tutorial will upskill you and show you how to create the perfectly sculpted nail using a form and a product of choice, either BIAB/ACRYLIC OR GEL.  First you can observe the demonstration then you can get to work on your own model to practice your skills.  This is a tutorial and no certification will be provided, however, if you want a certificate please speak to us and we can arrange this for you for an additional fee.

This accredited make up course covers all you need to know to create the perfect day look into a dramatic evening look. The preparation and skills you need starting with primer and finishing with lashes is all covered. This will equip you with skills and confidence to be more adventurous with your own make up as well as allowing you to start your MUA journey.

Make-up workshop covering Contouring, Eyes and brows, Foundation and cheeks and full make up and lashes

This course will teach you how to correctly apply tips with an acrylic overlay using a French or a natural finish. You will also learn how to freehand sculpt using acrylic. On the day if you feel more comfortable choosing one method to develop (tips or sculpting) then that is absolutely fine.

This course covers the technique for eyebrow shaping, eyelash tinting, eyebrow tinting, the application of strip lashes and the application of flare lashes. It also includes fantastic anatomy & physiology resources with clear diagrams and voice over. Reception, consultation and aftercare guidance is covered as well as conra-indications to treatment. Photographs and videos ensure this course is both engaging and informative to give you the confidence to perform all of these lash and brow treatments.

This therapy can also be known as thermo-auricular therapy. This ancient natural treatment has many wonderful benefits that can be used for relaxation purposes as well as helping to treat ear or sinus irritation, headaches and migraines. It involves the use of an ear candle that is gently placed within the opening of the ear, this is followed by a specific ear and facial massage treatment.

Please note: You will need to bring your own blanket and a pillow covered with a pillow case for this course.

On this course, you will be kept up to date with a variety of advanced facial and body techniques and treatments that are currently in vogue within the beauty industry.

If you are a qualified therapist, entry qualification with SVQ level 3 or above you can gain accreditation to prior learning in new and advanced face and body therapies.

This GTI Eyebrow Lamination course is designed for those Therapists who are already qualified in Eyebrow Shaping/Waxing and Tinting Techniques.

Please note a model is required for this course, your model must be able to attend the training school for a pre-booked patch test a minimum of 48 hours before the course date. If you are unable to find a model we can find one for you at an extra cost of £30, please Inform us at least a week before if you're struggling to find a model. 

This is a must have for every client! The treatment beautifully lifts and gently curls the lashes giving the WOW factor. Learn how to tint them during this process for optimum results.

Please note: A model will be required one hour into the class starting. The model needs a lashlift and tint patch test

The course aims to teach the art of semi permanent individual eyelash extensions whether you are a beginner or already qualified.

This course combines the best of both worlds, we start your online learning through the beauty guild portal then once that is complete you begin the SQA Facial therapy treatment techniques course at SCQF Level 7.

Pedicures are a fantastic way to get new clients into the salon and pamper existing ones. It is a treatment that is often given as a treat, or is booked to make tired toes look lush.

This course combines our Lash lift and tint and Brow Lamination courses into one session.

This comprehensive gel nail course will teach you the use of a form and sculpting with gel to create a beautiful nail enhancement, as well as learning this you will learn how to apply tips with gel overlay.  The use of builder in a bottle (BIAB) and hard gel will be demonstrated by the tutor and then performed by the student. 

The SQA facial therapy treatments is an SCQF level seven qualification where you will learn the fundamentals of facial treatments.

Our Spa Programme consists of both the HNC in Facial Therapy Treatments and the HNC in Body Massage Techniques. Following completion and successful assessment in both of these courses you will be invited to interview and if successful will be employed by MacDonald Inchra Hotel and Spa.
